Recently, EVE Energy and Wuhan East Lake High-tech Zone signed some related agreements on EVE Energy Storage Headquarters and Energy Storage Technology Research Institute project at Wuhan Conference Center.
Wuhan Municipal Committee, Secretary of East Lake High-tech Zone Work Committee Jie Liu, East Lake High-tech Zone Work Committee Member Xiaoling Luo and other leaders of relevant units in the district and city，the chairman of EVE Energy Jincheng Liu, President Jianhua Liu, EVE Power Executive Vice President Hongyan Zhou, EVE Energy Storage General Manager Xiang Chen, Deputy General Manager Yiqing Liu, and other company executives attended and witnessed together.
At the ceremony, General Manager of EVE Energy Storage Xiang Chen, and Director of Wuhan East Lake High-tech Zone Investment Promotion Bureau, Chuanrong Ai, signed the project-related agreements.
According to the agreement, EVE Energy will set up the energy storage headquarter and the EVE Energy Storage Technology Research Institute in Guanggu, with a total project investment of about 3 billion RMB. Among them, the EVE Energy Headquarters will manage EVE Energy’s energy storage business in general, with regional business companies under its jurisdiction, and hold and manage relevant intellectual property rights. The Energy Storage Technology Research Institute will mainly develop core technologies of energy storage lithium-ion batteries and energy storage solutions and set up the Energy Storage Battery Research Institute and the Power System Design Institute. The number of employees in Guanggu is expected to increase tenfold by 2024.
This cooperation is the significant layout of EVE Energy in the energy storage field. Both parties will integrate their advantageous resources to focus on scientific and technological innovation and industrialization, build up a large platform for energy storage R&D, help Guanggu create a new energy industry highland, and contribute to the realization of the "carbon peaking & carbon neutrality goals".
